Public Sector Digital Experience and Modernization.

Since 2013, HintonX has delivered public-sector projects and product platforms that simplify complex services, modernize legacy systems, and improve how people complete important tasks. We connect user research, service design, UX and UI design, accessibility, content strategy, prototyping, and implementation support. The result is practical digital work that public servants can adopt, technical teams can build, and people can use with confidence.

Services.

HintonX supports public-sector teams from early discovery through design validation and delivery. Engagements can cover one focused need or the full path from current-state research to an implementation-ready experience.

UX Research and Discovery

Interviews, workshops, contextual inquiry, analytics review, usability research, heuristic evaluation, and synthesis that turn policy, operational, and technical complexity into clear user needs.

Service Design

Current-state and future-state journeys, service blueprints, workflow mapping, task analysis, and facilitated design sessions that align programs, operations, technology, and user experience.

UX and UI Product Design

Information architecture, user flows, interaction design, wireframes, design systems, responsive interfaces, and high-fidelity product designs for web, mobile, and enterprise applications.

Prototyping and Usability Testing

Rapid and high-fidelity prototypes, usability test plans, moderated testing, iterative design sprints, and evidence-based recommendations before development and during delivery.

Accessibility and Government Standards

Accessible design and review aligned with WCAG, Government of Canada web standards, inclusive interaction patterns, and practical implementation guidance for designers and developers.

Content Strategy and Information Architecture

Content models, metadata, navigation, search and SEO planning, content workflows, governance, and plain language structures that make complex information easier to find and use.

Digital Modernization and Platform Strategy

Legacy workflow assessment, target-state experience design, MVP definition, modernization roadmaps, and Agile design support that connect user needs with architecture and delivery constraints.

AI Acceleration for Government

Research and opportunity mapping for AI-enabled public services and employee workflows, including federal and Government of Alberta contexts. HintonX helps teams identify useful low-risk applications, prototype human-centred interactions, plan human oversight and fallbacks, and define accessibility, privacy, security, transparency, governance, adoption, and measurement requirements before scaling.
