The project.
Commercial Project Architecture Section Website Redesign and Import Information Experience
Challenge
Importers faced fragmented guidance and complex paths to regulatory information. CBSA needed a clearer digital structure for import services and project information.
What was done
- Developed the proposed website experience, page templates, navigation, headers, footers, sidebars, and architecture recommendations.
- Created sitemaps, information architecture, metadata, content models, user requirements, personas, storyboards, scenarios, and design specifications.
- Produced wireframes and a functional prototype for phone, tablet, and desktop experiences.
- Embedded WCAG AA guidance directly in the wireframes and advised developers on contrast, navigation, interactive elements, headings, and spacing.
- Reviewed site structure, content, language, navigation, visual design, and search optimization against related federal sites.
Services.
Web strategy, UX and UI design, information architecture, responsive prototyping, accessibility, content review, and SEO analysis.
Outcome.
The work established a clearer, centralized experience for import guidance and a responsive design direction for the CBSA team.
